Meet Me!
Eliana is a professional clown and stilt walker. She has worked all over the country for circus companies, professional theaters, and theme parks.
She has a degree in theatre from San Diego State university and graduated from the Pro-Track program at the San Diego Circus Center in clowning, under the tutelage of Jean-Luc Martin and Stacy Clark.
She performed as a clown at Cirque Electrique and was the resident mime and clown at the SD Circus Collective. While in San Diego she originated the female roll of Biffy, a physical comedian and clown previously performed by men, in Sea World San Diego’s various Sea Lion and Otter shows. She worked at Legoland California for several years, helping to kickstart their first stilt walker program. She also debuted the monkey jumping stilts character in North America’s first Lego World Parade.
She taught clowning and tramp wall at the San Diego Circus Center and was guest artist at San Diego State University for several years teaching Commedia Dell’Arte.
She recently moved to Chicago where she teaches private lessons in peg, drywall, and jumping stilts. She is also a current company member with Great Works Theatre, and has performed in several shows with Northbrooke Theatre.
Eliana has persistently searched for new projects that will challenge her emotional capacity as well as her physical ability. As her original mime teacher once said: "As you grow, your art must change with you."
